The majority of the CVR(T) vehicles are fitted with 140 Amp old-fashioned and electrically noisy carbon brush type generators and separate electro-mechanical voltage regulators.

These items are no longer in production and require increasing levels of maintenance.

Further, the voltage regulator is unreliable and inaccurate which can cause premature battery failure.

The modern LEU Brushless 200 Amp Generator and Electronic Regulator has a vastly improved MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure), is very compact, electrically clean and produces exactly the correct voltage for maximum battery charging and life.
